Scandinavian folklore tells of small, gnome-like creatures called Tomtes that protect human homes, farms, and families. Tomtes are associated with winter, and Swedish homes traditionally have one or two statues of the friendly (and mischievous!) creatures to celebrate the season. Come to the Eastvale Public Library for our teen/preteen drop-in craft from December 4th to the 9th, where we'll be creating our own stuffed tomtes all week long!

Eastvale's first public library opened January 16th, 2007, with an official grand opening on September 22, 2007. Located on campus of the Eleanor Roosevelt High School, the Eastvale Public Library is a joint-use facility that is open to the public after school hours on weekdays and on Saturdays. The library also features programming such as family storytimes, movie showings, and foreign language classes, in addition to special programming and reading programs.
